Mark Salway is Director of Social Finance at Cass Business School, Centre for Charity Effectiveness (‘Cass CCE’). His work focuses on charity finance, strategy, building impact and sustainability. Mark’s background has been in commercials as well as nonprofits. At KPMG, he led innovative work on charities and their overheads – writing widely for ACEVO, NCVO and others. He has worked for a wide variety of government departments. He has just finished seven years at CARE International UK as Finance Director, Acting Joint CEO and has been involved in a wide range of social finance and funding innovation, including helping to set up lendwithcare.org, the lending platform which has lent £15m to poor people. He has also worked with such organisations as Barclays and Unilever on sustainable finance models. He is passionate about helping the World’s poorest.
